BOTOX™ Cosmetics

BOTOX™ Cosmetic is a purified protein that is used to treat dynamic wrinkles of the face and neck. It is delivered by series of injections via micro needles into very specific parts of your face to weaken the small facial muscles responsible for producing the forehead creases, “frown” lines in between the brows, "crow’s feet", wrinkles on the sides of nose ("bunny lines"), wrinkles of the upper lip, the vertical cords on the neck, as well as creating a subtle but desirable "lateral brow lift." BOTOX™ Cosmetic is a safe procedure when administered properly by a trained professional, and is very effective in treating the dynamic wrinkles. The results are usually apparent in 3-7 days, and may last up to 3-6 months depending on each individual’s response.

As the protein is metabolized locally by the treated muscle, over time, the muscles become weaker and less effective in metabolizing the protein, thereby making the duration of effect longer with subsequent treatments. For this reason, it is recommended that treatments be done prior to the complete return of muscle function leading to functional weakening of the muscle group of interest. No downtime is required post treatment. Cost depends on the number of units required for each individual. BOTOX&trade Cosmetic can be used in conjunction with other treatments for wrinkle reduction and skin revitalization.
