How Ultherapy Treatments Work
FDA-approved Ultherapy is a fast and effective rejuvenation treatment for toning and tightening your facial skin. This treatment uses ultrasound energy to cause the tissue below the skin to contract, gently and gradually building new collagen on the inside without disruption of the surface of the skin.
A clinical study of Ultherapy conducted at Northwestern University revealed significant lifting of the brow line in patients following treatment. Often, what looked like excess skin on the upper eyelids was instead "hooding" created by drooping brow skin. By causing a tightening of the skin that raised the brow, patients reported a more "open" eye, and looked more rested and refreshed as well.
What to Expect from Your Ultherapy Treatment
Treatment takes only about 30 minutes. Recovery time is minimal and over-the-counter medication can be used if necessary to maintain comfort after treatment. Regeneration of collagen begins immediately afterwards, with the full effect being revealed after about 3 months as collagen gradually builds.
