Injectable Fillers

Fillers are injectable materials that add volume and support to the skin, thereby reducing deep lines and wrinkles. Fillers can restore a smoother, more youthful-looking appearance. Fillers are injected precisely into skin via micro needles to plump up creased and sunken areas of the face. Classically, these areas are those around the nose and mouth (nasolabial and marionette lines), but can also be used for lip enhancement, as well as depressed scars. There are many fillers available, all with different benefits and limitations. We offer human Collagen, Restylane, Hylaform, Captique, and Radiesse. Typically the duration of effect ranges from 3 months to 1 year depending on the filler. We have found that some fillers are more appropriate for certain needs, and therefore, providing patients with optimal options depending on their needs and desires. Discomfort varies, but all well tolerated with minimal local anesthetic administration. No downtime required. Side effects are few, but may include short duration of swelling and on occasion, mild bruising. Return to normal activities is immediate.
