Why choose a practice overseen by a board-certified plastic surgeon for your fillers?
The only way to guarantee you will receive the safest treatment and achieve the results you desire is under the care of a talented, experienced aesthetic provider. It is important to trust your appearance to a board-certified plastic surgeon and his/her staff. Certification from the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) tells you that the surgeon is a safe, ethical physician with a demonstrated, extensive knowledge regarding the spectrum of plastic and cosmetic surgery procedures.
What does board certification mean? It tells you that the doctor has completed extensive plastic surgery training, including 16 years or more of post-high school education. The doctor will have undergone specific training in reconstructive and plastic surgery, mastering the demanding requirements including a competitive fellowship appointment. Finally, the surgeon must sit for a rigorous two day oral and written exam that will evaluate them on their overall knowledge, skill level, ethics, and their personal approach to reconstructive and cosmetic challenges. To get you started, the ASPS offers a searchable database of board-certified plastic surgeons from across the country.
Do your homework and find a board-certified plastic surgeon with years of experience in aesthetic procedures, both surgical and noninvasive. Read through their website and patient reviews. A board-certified plastic surgeon will take great care to curate a well-trained, licensed staff of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and aestheticians to apply fillers and perform noninvasive treatments. This team will work carefully under the guidance of your surgeon, providing the same, exceptional level of care.

Getting Started at Allegro MedSpa
With an emphasis on safety and comfort, every procedure will begin with a private, confidential consultation in the Allegro MedSpa office. During this appointment, one of our certified Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants will discuss your aesthetic goals. Next, they will perform an examination of the facial tissues and review your medical history. Working closely with Dr. Furnas and Dr. Canales, the Allegro MedSpa team will then create a personalized treatment plan to meet your desired results, including fillers and any other recommended procedures. We will then stay by your side, answering questions as they arise throughout the treatment process, your recovery, and beyond.
